About the Exam

ATMA stands for “AIMS Test for Management Admissions” & is the entrance exam conducted by AIMS for students who wish to gain admission to management courses across different institutes in India. The exam ATMA has been approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India for admission on All India Basis to the MBA / PGDM and other Postgraduate Programmes like MCA. Every year, AIMS conducts “AIMS Test for Management Admissions” (ATMA) which is patterned after GMAT.


The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS), a non-profit professional organization, which was founded in 1988, has grown into a powerful network of about 600 Indian Management Schools of national and international repute as its members. It represents Indian Management Schools in various International fora such as European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and Global Forum on Management Education. It is officially represented in different bodies of Government of India connected with Management Education and plays a vibrant policy advocacy role for safeguarding the interests of B-Schools.


Pattern of the Exam

The exam usually has around 170 questions spread of 6 sections. There is a time limit for each section. Total time for the exam is 3 hours. Like most entrance exams for B schools, ATMA too will test you for 3 skills:

  • Analytical Reasoning Skills 
  • Quantitative Skills 
  • Verbal Skills



Eligibility

You should have completed or should be in your final year of graduation in ANY discipline.

Last Date of Re-print: 5th Feb 2012 
Date of Exam ATMA 2012: 12th Feb 2012 (1:30pm-5:00pm)
Results: By March 2012
