The Programme started with lighting of the lamp by President of MUJ Prof. Sandeep Sancheti; Prof. N.K. Garg, Dean - Faculty of Design; Prof. K. Garg, Dean - Faculty of Engineering; Prof. B.K. Sharma, Dean - Faculty of Sciences; Prof. Mridul Srivastava, Dean – FoA&L; Dr. Vandana Suhag, Registrar; and Dr. Richa Arora, Director - Admissions.
On this occasion Prof. Sandeep Sancheti, President, MUJ, delivered the welcome address to students, parents and faculty members. Dr. Sancheti also gave a brief introduction of all Dean, Directors, HoDs of various departments of MUJ. Dean Faculty of Design, Prof. N.K. Garg told about the Manipal Education Group and Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ). Dr. Garg spoke about the lifetime achievements of the Founder of Manipal Education Group, Padmashri, Dr. TMA Pai. Dr. Garg communicated further about Manipal Education Group Values, MUJ Faculties and International Collaborations of MUJ. In this connection, Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Kumkum Garg Communicated about Processes, Evaluation, Grading, Promotion, Library, AMS and Scholarship policy of MUJ. Dean Faculty of Sciences, Prof. (Dr.) B.K. Sharma explained about the research. Dr. Sharma told about Paper Presentation, Research Presentation, Research seeding, Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship. On this occasion President, MUJ and other dignitaries of MUJ released “MUJ-Times” Newsletter of MUJ, which was prepared by Department of
Journalism and Mass Communication.
Dr. Richa Arora, Director-Admissions gave introduction of Orientation Programme and Chief Warden Mr. Lokesh Sharma told about Hostel Life. Mr. Lokesh also told about the Hostel rules and regulation, dining and eateries. Dr. A. Selvaraj, Coordinator- Cultural, spoke about the Cultural activities. Dr. G. Tankha, Coordinator -Technical, communicated about Technical activities at MUJ campus. Dr. Pradeep Char, Sports Officer stated about Sports facilities. Dr. Nidhi Singhal, Head, Training & Placement, voiced about Training & Placement facilities of MUJ, Chief Security Officer, Col. Ratan Singh communicated about Security processor to all.
During the orientation programme nearly three thousand and five hundred freshers & seniors students were present with their parents. All Deans, HoDs and faculty members of various Department of MUJ, Non-teaching staff members were also present on this auspicious occasion. In the end of the programme Dr. Vandana Suhag, Registrar, MUJ gave the vote of thanks.
