Applications on for August OPENMAT 2013 by IGNOU

OPENMAT Entrance Examination is conducted by Indira Gandhi Institute National Open University (IGNOU). OPENMAT common entrance test is conducted for students seeking admission to its MBA courses through distance learning mode. IGNOU OPENMAT is held twice a year, usually in the months of February and August for admission to IGNOU’s various management programmes.

Shortlisted students through OPENMAT score can take admission to MBA, Diploma in Management, PGDIM and Post Graduate diplomas in Human Resource Management (HR), Financial Management (FM), Operation Management (OM) & Marketing Management (MM).

IGNOU offers seven degree/ diploma management programmes:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Diploma in Management (DIM)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM)

Application procedure for August OPENMAT 2013

• Official prospectus & application form for OPENMAT is available online on IGNOU’s official website
• Students can download the OPENMAT application form on payment of Rs. 500 through DD in favour of IGNOU
• The downloaded application form has to be sent along with the prospectus by Registered or Speed post
• No documents/ certificates are required to be sent by post
• Application forms are available at all IGNOU branches across India and also all regional branches of IGNOU

Eligibility criteria for OPENMAT 2013

• Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks. Exemption of 5% for reserved category
• Graduate with at least 3 years of supervisory / managerial / professional experience
• A Professional Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine / Architecture / Law / Pharmacy are also eligible
• A Professional Qualification in Accountancy / Cost and Works Accountancy / Company Secretary Ship are also eligible
• Student with a Master's degree in any subject from a recognized institution, can also apply
• For Diploma in Management, apart from the aforementioned qualification, the candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with 6 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience are also eligible

Note:

• No age bar
• Foreign students can also apply is they possess valid student VISA for the minimum duration of the programme
• Students who have passed CAT, MAT etc need not apply
