Application Procedure, Fees & Important Dates for MME programme under Meta University

The objective of the Master’s of Mathematics Education is to move away from the conventional pedagogy of teaching mathematics at school level and to include methods of facilitating learning such as storytelling, projects, group work and participative learning.

MME's aim is to impart such knowledge as will facilitate the application of mathematical precepts to real life situations and help in problem solving. MME also aims to use technology as a significant aid in learning and to impart knowledge of some basic concepts and principles of the disciplines. In addition, it will establish inter-disciplinarity between mathematics and other subjects from Humanities and the Social Sciences.

Application procedure for MME

• Online application form from the official websites of DU - http://du.ac.in and Jamia Millia Islamia at http://jmi.ac.in OR
• Collect it from The Cluster Innovation Centre, Rugby Sevens Building, 3rd Floor, University Stadium, North Campus, Delhi-110007 (Phone 27666702) on all working days between Monday and Friday between 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• The application forms must be filled and submitted to the Cluster Innovation Centre on working days between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. before 7 June, 2013.
• A demand draft of Rs. 500 for general category and Rs. 250 for reserved category candidates in the name of Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi has to be submitted along with the application form.

Note – If you are submitting the application form in person, you will get your admit card instantly. If you are submitting by post, you should enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for the admit card.

Fee structure of MME programme 2013

5 K every semester (The course comprises of four semesters, each sixteen weeks long)

Entrance exam will be held in New Delhi.

• Entrance Exam: June 16, 2013
• Result date: June 20, 2013
• Interview dates: July 1 and 2, 2013
• First merit list: July 4, 2013
• Provisional admissions basis first merit list: July 8 - 10, 2013
• Second merit list: July 11, 2013
• Provisional admission on second merit list: July 12 to 15, 2013
• Commencement of classes: July 16, 2013
