The EAMCET was held on May 22, 2014. Earlier, it was scheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2014. However, the exam was postponed due to Lok Sabha elections.
This exam is taken by candidates seeking admission in undergraduate professional courses offered within the state of Andhra Pradesh. These programmes include B.E/B.Tech (Bachelor of Engineering), B.Sc Ag/ Hort (Bachelor of Science courses in Agriculture/ Horticulture), MBBS/ BDS (Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Surgery), BAMS/ BHMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) and B Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy).
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) conducts EAMCET on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
Engineering counseling is expected to start on June 29, 2014.
