Annual events of 2013 at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra

After the end of mid semester examinations the students of BIT campus are busy in organizing and taking part in many technical and cultural fests and events, of which many of them were completed successfully and many are about to come.

The list of some of the events organized after the Independence Day:

• literary night’13 (28th Aug): It was organized by the literary society of the college.

• Photo fest’13: BIT Mesra, witnessed the first of its kind open-air photo gallery which reproduced many of the mesmerizing moments that occur all around them daily. All the photography enthusiasts, alumni and the existing students displayed their work. The event started from August 30, 5 pm in the evening and lasted till September 1.

• Futsal In the Campus: It was the unique type of indoor football tournament started from August 30, 2013. There were more than 25 teams registered and the team members were only to 6 for boys and 5 for girls.

• BIT Cricket Competition: It has started on September 3, 2013 and September 2 was the last date for registration of all the teams and the winning prize is of Rs 5000 and for the runner ups its Rs 2500.

• Table Tennis Competition: Table tennis tournament is organized by the sports club on September 2 and it will continue till 4th of the month where Men’s- singles and doubles, Women’s- singles and doubles and Mixed – doubles are the game plan.
• The Arte of Oratory: This is going to be organized by the UNESQUO society of the college by 3rd and 4th of this September.
