Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), allows women students to take some of the examination of the Delhi University with special coaching but without attending regular classes. The classes are held either on Saturdays or on Sundays and academic breaks of Delhi University. there are 50 teaching days in a year.
The academic year of 2013 has witnessed a sudden increase in the number of applications at NCWEB , as people while studying at NCWEB also get time to do any other professional or part time course along with their graduation. NCWEB also proves to be a convenient option for women who have to start working at an early age but do not wish to give up on their education.
Till now NCWEB has received around 12,731 applications for its BA (Programme) and 6,818 applications for B.Com ,Also the number of applicants with 90% and above scores have also increased. This year the cut-offs were higher as the number of students applying at NCWEB were expected to be much higher than last year.
