Amity Law School, Centre-II, organized a panel discussion on ‘National Judicial Appointment Commission’ on 31st August 2015 at the Amity University, Noida
The eminent guests for this panel discussion included Mr. Rakesh Singh, Bureau Chief, India News and Mr. Rajiv Rathee, Former General Secretary, Delhi High Court Bar Association and Advocate for Supreme Court and High Court.
The Deputy Director of Amity Law School- Centre II, Dr. Aditya Tomer welcomed the guests and encouraged the students to make complete utilization of the session to understand the law system of the country.
Mr. Singh highlighted the significance and the roles of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and Non Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the formation of National Judicial Appointment Commission.
On the other hand, Mr. Rathee focused on telling the audience about how it will bring transparency into the judicial system. He said that the pending cases in the courts will be resolved as soon as possible abiding by a pre determined time limit. Any clash between the Judiciary and Government will be minimized with the introduction of the commission.
Students, thereafter, asked questions and their queries about the system to which the speakers replied with clarity enhancing the knowledge of the participant. It was an interactive and engaging session in all.
