Amid anxiety among students hoping to secure a seat, Ambedkar University on Thursday announced its third cut-off list for undergraduate programmes.
For the coveted BA Economics (Hons) course, the university had put its cut-off between 78% and 83% for Delhi and non-Delhi applicants.
For securing admission in BA History (Hons) course, a Delhi candidate now requires a score between 60% and 65%, while under the second cut-off list a Delhi candidate needed a score between 71% and 76%.
Under the third cut-off list, for BA Sociology (Hons) course, Delhi applicants need a score between 67% and 72% and for non Delhi applicants the cut-off ceiling is between 77% and 82%.
The cut-offs for the reserved category students have also witnessed a significant drop.
For History (Hons) and Social Science and Humanities (Hons), candidates from the national Capital applying under the any reserved category only need 45% to get through these two courses.
Kuriakose Mamkoottam, Dean, student services, Ambedkar University, said they have only filled about 100 seats in the seven undergraduate courses so far.
“We still have about 145 seats left. We don’t want to leave any seats vacant which is why there is a decrease in the cut-offs,” he said. Ambedkar University has 85% seats reserved for students of the National Capital Territory (NCT).
The admission procedure for the third cut-off list will start from July 12 this year.
