All About RPMT 2012: Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test

Rajasthan Pre Medical Test (RPMT) is an entrance examination for admission to under graduate medical courses in the colleges/institutes of Rajasthan run by state.

The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) is the administering body of state government of Rajasthan responsible for conduct of RPMT 2012 examination.

RPMT 2012 is a common entrance test for the Medical, Veterinary and Dental aspirants.

The competitive nature of the examination is high and it is considered as one of the difficult medical examination in India, the number of seats in the institute are limited and only the top scorers manage to get admission.

Eligibility Criteria for RPMT 2012:

The candidates should pass the higher secondary examination from the recognized board in Rajasthan.
The candidates should study physics, chemistry and biology as a subject in plus two level with minimum 50% mark in the qualifying examination.

Age: Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on 31 December of the year of examination. 

Note: Candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination are also eligible to apply provided they fulfill the above RPMT Eligibility Criteria at the time of counseling.

Validity of the RPMT Score: 

The score will be valid only at the time of admission to the medical institutes under the RPMT.

Structure and Exam Pattern of RPMT 2012:

• RPMT 2012 is carried out in two sessions.
• Each of the question paper carries 100 questions with 120 minutes.
• There will be negative marking for the wrong answers and each correct answer will be awarded with three marks.

Part I

Physics: 50 question
Chemistry: 50 question

Part II

Botany: 50 question
Zoology: 50 question
