North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences academics of the Autonomous Institute with the affiliation to the North Eastern Hill University and Accreditations of Medical Council of India.
The Institute shall carry out important Health Research Projects in terms of regional needs and in collaboration with National and International Institutes. The Institute offers Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Medical Science course.
NEIGRIHMS is an Autonomous Institute founded by Indian Central Government of India under Health and Family Welfare and Meghalaya Government Societies Act 1983.
Main purpose of this institute is designed for Postgraduate Medicine Institute in extraction of AIIMS New Delhi and PGIMER Chandigarh.
NEIGRIHMS, Shillong is dedicated for providing medical services to specially Northern Eastern Region States in India. Medical Education and Research Works along with all Medicine Department in institute offers post-Graduate Degree to students.
The course is under affiliation of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong.
Duration of the Course: 4 years and 6 months as per the Academic Calendar of Medical Council of India (MCI), followed by 1 year compulsory rotary internship.
Eligibility Criteria in Northern Eastern India Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences :
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognised board. Selection will be based as per the university norms.
