AIMPT stands for All India Pre-Medical Test, which is an entrance exam for students who want to become doctors. This exam is conducted by CBSE board for admission to BDS and MBBS programs in different medical colleges across the country. The AIPMT score is considered for admission in the top medical colleges of India and 15% of the total seats of dental and medical colleges, which are run by Union of India, state governments, municipal or other local authorities in India are reserved for the candidates, who have cleared the AIMPT exam. But, the states of Jammu & Kashmir and Andhar Pradesh do not accept the scores of AIPMT.
The students, who have passed Class 12th Board exam or equivalent or those who will appear for the Class 12th Board exam or equivalent in 2022 are eligible for the AIPTM 2022 exam to be held on 1st May 2022. It is important for them to go through the AIPMT 2022 syllabus as it will help them perform better and clear the exam. The AIPMT syllabus for 2022 has already been prepared and distributed by the examination authority, CBSE after considering the suggestions provided by MCI (Medical Council of India). The syllabus is based on the different topics and chapters of Physics, Chemistry and Biology that are taught in 10+2 or Higher Secondary level.
The AIPMT 2022 syllabus has been prepared in accordance with the syllabi of different states and COBSE, NCERT as well as CBSE. They have done this to maintain consistency for students across the country as well as keeping in mind the relevance of various fields in medical education. The exam will be held on the first Sunday of May i.e. 1st May 2022 and will be of 3 hours duration. The question paper will be divided into 3 parts, namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and there will be 180 Multiple Choice Questions.
