AIPGMEE 2017 All You Need to Know

AIPGMEE 2022 or the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination is organised by the National Board of Examination (NBE) every year. Aspirants who take the test can seek admissions in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Science and Postgraduate Diploma courses offered by various Govt. and private medical colleges in India. The course duration will be three years for MD and MS courses and two years in the case of Diploma courses.

AIPGMEE 2022 Important Dates:

The AIPGMEE 2022 exam will be conducted at various centres across the country in the first week of December 2022. The following table shows all the important dates for AIPGMEE 2022.

The examination will be conducted in two sessions in a day, i.e. forenoon and afternoon, and each candidate will be allotted only one session to appear for the examination.

Candidates must note that these are the tentative dates and the actual dates will be updated once the official notification for AIPGMEE 2022 is released.

AIPGMEE 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to appear for AIPGMEE 2022, a candidate must fulfil the eligibility criteria. He/she must a citizen of India. They should be an MBBS degree holder from a recognised university. Those who have completed their MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir and Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh are not eligible to apply. However, the candidates who were selected by the Government of India to pursue MBBS from Medical Colleges in Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and J&K will be eligible to apply for admission.

All the candidates must note that they have to provide their educational certificates at the time of admissions. The admission procedure will not be carried out without these documents.

AIPGMEE 2022 Application Process:

The AIPGMEE 2022 application forms can be filled online at the official website of NBE. The applications will be available from the third week of September 2022 and can be filled until the third week of October 2022.

Aspirants applying for AIPGMEE 2022 will have to pay an examination fee at the end of the application process. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay an amount of INR 3750 and candidates who are in the reserved category will have to pay INR 2750. The fee can be paid via debit/credit card or net banking.

Before submitting the application, the candidate should cross-check all the details entered. Incomplete applications or applications with false information will not be accepted and the candidate may further be debarred to appear for the examination.

AIPGMEE 2022 Exam Pattern:

AIPGMEE 2022 is a computer-based examination. The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper will consist of 300 objective type questions and each candidate will get questions based on the course opted by him/her. No marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

AIPGMEE 2022 Syllabus:

The AIPGMEE 2022 syllabus shall comprise of subjects/knowledge areas according to the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by MCI with the approval of Government of India in advance.

The subjects covered in the AIPGMEE examination are as follows and the syllabus will be covered according to these subjects:
Anatomy, Biochemistry, Ophthalmology, Forensic Medicine, Medicine Dermatology and Venereology, Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis and Radiotherapy, Paediatrics, Social and Preventive Medicine and Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics & Anesthesia. Each candidate will have to opt for any one subject during the application process.

AIPGMEE 2022 Admit Card:

Once the registration process is over in the third week of October 2022, candidates shall be eligible to download the AIPGMEE 2022 admit card from the official website. It can be downloaded from the last week of November 2022 until the last day before the examination.

Once the candidate has taken a printout of the admit card, they have to paste the latest passport size photograph on the admit card. The photograph must indicate the candidate’s name and the date of photo taken at the bottom. Candidate must bring the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre, without which they won’t be allowed to take the exam.

AIPGMEE 2022 Result:

The AIPGMEE 2022 is scheduled to be conducted in the first week of December 2022. Once the examination is over, the results are expected to be announced in the third week of January 2022. Candidates can view and download the score card from the official website of NBE.

The minimum qualifying marks a candidate has to obtain is as follows:

• 50% marks for general category candidates
• 45% marks for physically handicapped candidates
• 40% marks for reserved category candidates

Once the result is declared, the merit list will be announced and candidates will be invited for counselling as per the ranks obtained in AIPGMEE 2022.
