AIBE 2017: Changes in Syllabus

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has made changes to the syllabus for All India Bar Examination (AIBE). However, there is no official notification on the website of AIBE informing about the change in the AIBE syllabus. But, if candidates go through the syllabus link for the law exam, it is informed that some new topics have been added to the syllabus and few others have been omitted by BCI. The AIBE exam will be conducted on March 26, 2022.

The AIBE X exam syllabus is such that four new subjects have been added which are:

• Public Interest Litigation
• Law Related to Taxation
• Land Acquisition Act
• Intellectual Property Law

In the AIBE exam, 12 questions will be asked from the above mentioned new subjects. On the other hand, the subjects that have been omitted from AIBE X syllabus are:

• Jurisprudence
• Limitation Act
• Environmental Law (questions around Constitutional Law as well as Environment may be asked)
• Corporate Social Responsibility

Candidates are informed that although questions will not be asked from Jurisprudence, Limitation Act and Environmental Law, questions can still be asked from Corporate Social Responsibility under the topic 'Company Act/Law Head'. Apart from this, weight age from Family Law has been increased to 8 marks, making it an important subject.
