Making the transition from a school kid to a college student surely sounds fun. Let me give you a sneak peek into a teen’s head during this time.
CHOICES: Read mental battles. Right now, life seems to be like that game where if you step on the wrong stone, you are ruined. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all had our career paths figured out and simply waltzed our way through them to reach our destination? But hey, without a little stumbling and struggling, where is the fun in it?
ANTICIPATION: In this stage, life keeps throwing surprises at us. It could be disappointing marks, scrapping of entrance tests or sky rocketing cut-offs. Every juncture is a mystery box.
NO UNIFORM: Time for the dry drab dresses to be traded for an entirely new wardrobe which can have colours except white, grey and blue.
NO EARLY MORNING ALARM: I am not a morning person, and I am assuming most people my age aren’t! So waking up at an odd hour to go to school isn’t on my list of ‘things I miss about school’. Snooze away to happiness!
FREEDOM: I know the Constitution endows us with the right to life and liberty from birth. But after giving the Boards, we earn the right to freedom! So be it no curfews, no Facebook time limits or unlimited hanging out-we basically live while we’re young!
