Plans are under way to overhaul the flagship 2 year post graduate programme of IIM Bangalore. An internal committee is mulling over changes like
- increasing weightage for leadership potential and ethical & social sensitivity
- making a 22-month work experience mandatory for admission
- reducing the emphasis on a very high score in CAT
- making summer placements optional for students
These proposed changes will not only change the way students are getting selected in IIM-B but will also change the syllabi and the evaluation methods. The internal committee is being headed by Prof C Manohar Reddy and it wants at least 10% of the batch to comprise international students within the next decade to increase diversity.
