Admission Open for PG Degree (MD/MS) Courses in Ayurveda 2012 at Himachal Pradesh University

Government Ayurvedic College, Paprola, Himachal Pradesh University is recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine Delhi and affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. The college provides Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) and Doctor of Medicine (Ayurveda) courses approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine Delhi.

An MCQ type competitive test for admission to MD/MS Courses in Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Post- Graduate Ayurvedic College,Paprola, Distt. Kangra, H.P.-176115 will be held on 2nd September, 2012 (Sunday) at Shimla Examination Centres. 

Eligibility Criteria: 

(i) A candidate should have passed BAMS or its Equivalent degree of 5.5 years of minimum duration (including rotatory internship) from the recognized Institution/ University latest by the date of Counselling.
(ii) Only such regular Ayurvedic Medical Officers under Group-I will be eligible who have rendered five years service including adhoc service, if any out of which at least three years service in rural areas or two years service in Hard/ Tribal areas and should have minimum eight years of service left for superannuation after completion of Postgraduate Degree in Ayurveda.

Application Procedure: 

(i)By Cash: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the prospectus can be obtained at the University Examination Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter No.1, Library Building (Basement) Summer Hill,Shimla-5 from 3.7.2012 to 3.8.2012 during working hours on payment of Rs.2000/- only for All Categories.

(ii)By Post: The request for obtaining the prospectus by post must be addressed to the Assistant Registrar(Entrance Tests), Room No.10 (Ground Floor), Administrative Block, H.P. University, Shimla-171005 accompanied by crossed IPOs/Bank Draft amounting to Rs.2100/-(Rs.two thousand one hundred only) for all categories drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla-5 and the same shall be
entertained up to 17.7.2012. The candidate must write “Request for MD/MS (Ayurveda) Prospectus-2012” on the letter with complete mailing address in CAPITAL LETTERS and telephone/ Mobile number.

Note:It will be the entire responsibility of the candidates to procure the prospectus well in time and submit the application form complete in all respects within the stipulated date. The University will not be responsible for any lapse on this account or postal delay for non-receipt or
misplacement or loss of prospectus in transit.
