Admission Notification: Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology Ph.D Programmes 2012

The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) is a growing phenomenon. Located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, RGCB began in 1990 amongst humble surroundings as a small charitable society called the Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology
(C-DEST).


Courses Offered: 

Applications are invited from Postgraduates in Life Sciences, Biotechnology,Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences for PhD program, January 2012, currently affiliated to University.

Eligibility: 
 

• General category applicants must have First Class or above throughout and a valid Research Fellowship from UGC/ CSIR/ ICMR/ DBT or Eligibility for DST-INSPIRE and should be less than 28 years of age as on January 1 of 2012. 
• SC/ST candidates with a valid fellowship need to have only 50% marks, will be eligible for age relaxation as per rules, and are exempt from processing fees.

Application Procedure : 

• Application Forms can be Downloaded from the website Internal Candidates may collect the Application Forms from the Dean’s Office.

• Applicants must enclose a crossed demand draft of Rs. 500/- (Five hundred only) as processing fee in favour of Director, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram 695014. Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe are exempted from payment.

3. Proof of belonging to SC/ST (If applicable)
