Admission Notification: MBA in Petroleum and Energy Management in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum and Technology

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum and Technology is established by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to impart technical and management training in petroleum industry.

The Institute invites applications for admission to its 2 year MBA in Petroleum and Energy Management.

Eligibility

You should have:

• Minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in Class X and XII with Mathematics as main subject (Copies of passing certificates and Mark-sheets to be attached with the Application Receipt).
• AICTE recognised bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology (4 years duration course after 10+2) with 65% marks or C.P.I. of 7.0 (Photocopy of degree or provisional degree and Mark-sheets of all semesters/years to be attached with the Application Receipt).
• Qualification either in CAT 2011 or GMAT (After June 2011) (Copy of Admit Card to be attached along with the Application Receipt). 
• Applicants fulfilling the above criteria will be shortlisted based on merit for selection process which will comprise of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The meritorious academic performance of the candidate will get due weightage in final selection process. Not all those satisfying the minimum requirement are likely to be shortlisted.

Eligibility for Sponsored Candidates

Petroleum companies can also sponsor their employees for this MBA programme.

As a sponsored candidate, you should have minimum 2 years work experience.

CAT or GMAT score is not required. However, you will be required to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Application Procedure

• You can fill an application form on official website of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum and Technology (www.rgipt.ac.in).
• You can send the print out of application receipt duly signed by you with non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- and all necessary documents through courier, speed post or registered post by December 5, 2011 to

• You should write “Application for MBA Admission 2012” on top of the envelope.
• You can pay the application fee online or through demand draft:

1. Online Payment: You can pay the application fee of Rs. 1000/- (excluding bank transaction charges) through credit or debit card. You should attach copy of payment receipt with the application form.

2. Demand Draft: Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- should be drawn in favour of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, payable at New Delhi. You should write your phone number at the back of the Demand Draft.

Incomplete application forms and forms received after the due date may not be considered for admission process.
