Admission Alert: XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management Bhubanewar)

XIMB is inviting applications for admission to the following AICTE approved programmes for the academic session 2012-2014:

•  Two-Year Full-Time Programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
•  Two-Year Full-Time Programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Management (HRM) [PGDM-HRM]
•  Two-Year Full-Time Programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM-RM)
•  Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

Eligibility Criteria

For Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM): Minimum 3-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognised university/deemed university. Final year degree students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 15, 2012, can also apply.

For Postgraduate Diploma in Management (HRM) [PGDM-HRM]: Minimum 3-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognised university/deemed university. Final year degree students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 15, 2012, can also apply.

For Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM-RM): Minimum 3-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognised university/deemed university. Final year degree students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 15, 2012, can also apply.

For Fellow Programme in Management (FPM): Postgraduates in any discipline (or professional field) related to management with at least 55% marks (or graduate engineers with at least 55% marks and having at least 2 years of work experience) are eligible to apply for the FPM. In case the score is available on a letter-grade system, the Institute expects a minimum cumulative score of 4.80 on an 8-point scale (or 6.00 on a 10-point scale). Although the eligibility criteria are defined in these terms, the Institute prefers applicants who have excellent academic record as well as rich managerial experience.


How to Apply

Registering for IRMA test or CAT or XAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB's PGDM programme.

Go to XIMB’s official website to apply online.
1) Fill up the "Personal Details/Academic Details/Professional Details" to create and receive by email a unique XIMB ID and Password for applying to XIMB. If you have already received your XIMB ID and Password, then login as per Step 2.
2) Login with your XIMB ID and Password. Choose the programme and fill up the final part (Programme Details) of the application form and Submit.
3) Take a print out of the Payment Advice Form.
4) Pay the application fee as instructed in the Payment Advice Form. (Application fee is Rs.1000/- for one programme, and Rs.500/- each for every additional programme/admission test.)
5) Send the Payment Advice Form along with the application fee payment instrument to:

Which Exams to Take

• For Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM): Apply and appear for any one of the following written tests:
1) XAT to be conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on 8 January 2012,
OR
2) CAT to be conducted by IIMs during 22 October – 18 November 2011.Applicants are required to follow the XAT/CAT advertisements respectively and apply in time.

• For Postgraduate Diploma in Management (HRM) [PGDM-HRM]: Apply and appear for any one of the following written tests:
1) XAT to be conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on 8 January 2012,
OR
2) CAT to be conducted by IIMs during 22 October – 18 November 2011.Applicants are required to follow the XAT/CAT advertisements respectively and apply in time.

• For Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM-RM): Apply and appear for any one of the following written tests:
1) The IRMA test to be conducted by Institute of Rural Management, Anand on 13 November 2011,
OR
2) CAT to be conducted by IIMs during 22 October – 18 November 2011,
OR
3) XAT to be conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on 8 January 2012
Applicants are required to follow the respective IRMA Test/CAT/XAT advertisements and apply in time. 

• For Fellow Programme in Management (FPM): You must write any one of the following written tests: CAT, GATE, UGC NET, XAT, or the XIMB Research Aptitude Test (XIMB-RAT). XIMB-RAT will be conducted only at Bhubaneswar, at 3:00 pm on 7 January 2012.
