Admission Alert: National Law University

The application for one year Diploma course in Judging & Court Management National Law University, Delhi, is now open. The National Law University, Delhi was established in 2008 by Act No. 1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in the capital city of India. The University offers various academic courses to Diploma, B.A. LL.B.(Hons), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes, whose classes will commence from August, 2011.

Eligibility

• Law graduates (3 years / 5 years integrated course) with 50% marks minimum
• 30 years as on 1st September, 2011 (35 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

Application Procedure

Candidates can apply online at the official website of NLU along with a demand draft of Rs. 1000 for general candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ ST, drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, National Law University, Delhi’ payable at Delhi, along with the SC/ ST certificate.

5 Years B.A LL.B (Hons)

• Eligibility: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) or equivalent Examination with 50% of marks. Those candidates appearing for Class 12 can also apply.
• Age: Should be below 21 years as on July 1 (SC/ST students below 23 years)
• Total Seats: 80, of which 70 will be under AILET and 10 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals (minimum 65%) on merit/ qualifying exam.
• Reservation: 15% - SC, 7.5% - ST and 3% for persons with disabilities.

LLM

• Eligibility: LLB or an equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ persons with disability). Those candidates appearing for LLB in April/ May can also apply.
• Total Seats: 20 + 5 seats for foreign nationals, who are exempted from entrance test.
• Reservation: 15% - SC, 7.5% - ST and 3% for persons with disabilities.

Ph. D

LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent
