Acharya Institutes, Bangalore Hosts Cultural Fest: Acharya Habba 2013

Acharya Institute Of Technology is affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU)and approved by AICTE. The institute offers bachelor of Engineering, Master of Computer Application and Master of Business Administration course. They host their in-house cultural event that is ‘Acharya Habba 2013’ a multicultural extravaganza witnessed the crowd of more than 15000 in Smt.Nagaratnamma Stadium here in Soladevanahalli, and students from 40 colleges across the state took part in various events. The students participated in as many as 40+ events, which brought out their latent talents in sports, academic and cultural activities.
 

Started in 2005 as an intra-collegiate cultural fest, Acharya Habba has grown into one of the largest inter-collegiate festivals in Bangalore and Karnataka. The two -day festival had many interesting events apart from the regular features like face painting, drag race, ethical hacking, video games, fashion show, group dance and mime shows.

One of the main attractions was the live performance by Lagori band from Bangalore and a folk band La Pongal lead by Antony Dasan of Dindigal Sarathi fame. As a mark of Habba the Ethnic day was celebrated one day before the event, the multi-cultural and multi-ethnic nature of the institution. The students dress up in their traditional attires highlighting their region/culture of origin.
 

Also in association with the fest Acharya Institute organized a mega Cricket tournament called Acharya Habba Media cup 2013 and it was a 4th edition where all the esteemed Media Organization took part and Suvarna news 24/7 stood as the Winners and Samaya TV were the runners.
 

Acharya Habba is one of the biggest techno-cultural fest in all over Bangalore and the fest had many highlights like cracker show, fire show and much more live performance made the environment special. The Kannada born multilingual actor Kishore and Simppallaag ondh Luv story team and the fever 104 F.M RJ Shraddha were the celebrity guest for the grand event.
 

“The uniqueness of ‘Acharya Habba’ is that it has something to offer to every student. Hence, no one feels left out as we conduct sports, literary, cultural and technical events for the benefit of students with various talents,” said Sudharshan, one of the organizer. The colorful festival concluded with fireworks which marked the end of the Acharya Habba 2013.
