Punjab to Provide Free Education For Girls Upto Class 12th.

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Punjab has taken this step to encourage the poor families to educate their girl child having any financial burden.
He also said that this free education to the girl child is set to empower her.He also said that from 1st July, all government and government aided school would provide free education to the girl child upto class 12th.

Under this scheme funds like admission fee, re-admisssion fee, amalgamated funds, PTA funds, sports funds etc. would not be charged from the girl child upto class 12th and she will be entitled to totally free education as her right.The government has set aside Rs.26 crores for this scheme.
