6th Short Term Course on “Data Analysis for Research Publication” at IIT Roorkee

Department of Management Studies of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee in collaboration with Continuing Education Centre of IIT Roorkee is going to conduct 6^th Short Term Course on “Data Analysis for Research Publication” on December 5, 2015 and December 6, 2015.

Objectives:

• To help the participants in selecting the right statistical tool out of the basket of tools available
• To make participants practice on SPSS & AMOS.
• To learn how to write a research paper

The course is designed for scholars pursuing their Ph. D/M. Phil/Master Programme in the area of Management/Economics or Social Sciences, Faculty Members, Member of Research Organisation like DRDO, ISRO, etc.

Topics to be covered:

1. Research Problem Identification
2. Scale development and Sampling
3. Questionnaire development
4. Hypothesis Developments
5. Coding of data, Data transformation
6. T, Z & F test/Chi square & Cross tab
7. Multivariate data analysis: Regression, Discriminant, Multidimensional Scaling, Exploratory & Confirmatory Factor, Cluster Analysis.
8. Path analysis & Structural equation modelling
9. Writing a Research Paper
10. Exposure to Software: SPSS & AMOS
