Every year National Institute of Technology organizes annual athletic meet. This year also it organized 42nd Annual Atheletic Meet 2014 from March 21-23, 2014.
Event was conducted by department of Physical Education & Sports. All games were divided into morning and evening session. In this meet all students participating in the games like Athletic, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Chess, Gymnastic, Hockey, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Swimming etc. Faculty from different departments took the charge as Game Incharge.
First day was started with opening ceremony in the evening session. First day scheduled games were 100mts. Race, 800mts. Race, 4X400mts. Race, Sack Race and Chatti Race (Boy & Girls). All participants gave their best as competition was hard.
On 22nd events like Obstacle Race, 3 Mile Cycle Race, 1 Mile cycle Race(Girls), Slow Cycling, Weight lifting(Boy) were scheduled and at the end of the day final events’ prizes were given to the winners
Final day of the event was 23 and it was the last chance for participant to show their ability. There were also some events meant for the teaching and non-teaching staff like Relay race, 100mts. Race (teachers above 50), Musical chair, Tug of war, Guest Events.
Event was ended with a good note. All this happened with the active coordination of college students and faculty and event was successful to spread happiness and hope to be more bigger and better next time.
