2013 admission on for Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad

Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad (ISM) has invited applications for preparatory courses of 2013-14 session

Ample amount of applications had received for this course. College will conduct admission for selected candidates on August 12, 2013. All selected candidates required to report the campus sharp by 9 am on scheduled date.

The amount of fees payable for General/OBC category candidate is Rs 44,842/- and that for SC/ST candidate Rs 19,842/- The fee includes the hostel fee except boarding (mess charge). The current mess charge is approximately Rs 15000/- per semester, which will be borne by students and paid in advance for the entire year i.e. Rs 30,000/- for Preparatory students. Student shall deposit the amount to the Warden of the concerned hostel through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the ‘Jasper Hostel’ payable at Dhanbad (for Boys) and ‘Ruby Hostel’ payable at Dhanbad (for girls). No student will be allowed to stay in the hostel unless he/she pays the mess charges to the Warden of the concerned hostel.

Documents need to be submitted at the time of admission at ISM, Dhanbad:

• Print out of the course allotment letter
• Original admit card of IIT JEE (Advance) 2013
• Original Transfer Certificate/College or School Leaving Certificate/Migration Certificate
• One set of attested copies of Marks Sheets & Certificates of 10th & 10+2 Examinations including the proof of being in the top 20 percentile of the respective board in case of student passing during 2013
• Original Transfer Certificate/College or School Leaving Certificate/Migration Certificate
• Four copies of passport size photographs as given in IIT JEE (Advanced) 2013 application, and ten copies of stamp size photographs
• Duly filled medical examination form as per format attached
• Latest PA View X-ray of chest with proper identification mark, Report on Hb, TC, DC, ESR of Blood & Blood Group for medical examination
• Duly filled in attached Student Registration Card
• Duly filled in Insurance Declaration Form (in duplicate)
• Duly filled in Identity Card form
• Duly filled in Library form

Following documents (in original) are to be produced at the time of admission for verification only:

• Class X (High School) Board Certificate/ Any other certificate as proof of date of birth (The candidate date of birth should not be before October 1, 1988 for GE/OBC and October 1, 1983 for SC/ST & PwD candidate)
• Mark Sheet and certificate of passing 10+2 as proof of eligibility criteria (Passed qualifying examination should be on or after 2012 and candidate who passed qualifying examination in 2012 should secure at least 60% marks, and for SC/ST/PwD candidates 55% marks)
• Certificate from respective Board for passing qualifying examination with marks within top 20 percentile of the successful candidates in their corresponding board for the respective category (required only for candidate passing qualifying examination in 2013)
• Certificate of category [OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/DS] issued by the competent authority. The format of the certificates are available in the information brochure of JEE (Advanced)- 2013 (Failure to produce category certificate as per required format will render the candidate ineligible for the current allotted seat)
• Physical disability certificate for PD Candidates
