About NSIT:
NSIT or Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology is an autonomous institute fully funded by the Government of NCT of Delhi. The institute is affiliated to Delhi University for undergraduate Post graduate and PhD programmes. It offers various programmes for students which include Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering, Information Technology and Bio-Technology.
The admission to NSIT is done on the basis of AIEEE merit in two phases. The first phase for the admission for B.E 2012-13 was held from July 3, 2012 to July 12, 2012.
The Second Phase began on July 13, 2012 for Delhi Region and July 16, 2012 for Outside Delhi.
Important dates for Second Phase Counseling:
The Second Phase of NSIT counseling has four phases depending on the availability of seats.
First Round:
- Declaration of online seat allotment: July 18, 2012
- Delhi Region-all categories: July 19, 2012
- Outside Delhi Region-all categories: July 20, 2012
Second Round:
- Declaration of online allotment result: July 24, 2012
- Outside Delhi Region-all categories: July 25, 2012
- Delhi Region-all categories: July 26, 2012
Third Round:
- Declaration of online allotment result: July 30, 2012
- Delhi and Outside Regions-all categories: July 31, 2012
Fourth Round:
- Declaration of online allotment result: August 22, 2012
- Both Regions-all categories: August 23, 2012
Open House Counseling Cum Admission:
- August 31, 2012
Please note that physical reporting by candidates who have been allotted seats is mandatory.
Counseling Procedure:
- The selected candidates are required to report at the institute on the date and time specified as per the counseling schedule. The students also need to carry the requisite admission fee in the form of a demand draft and original and attested copies of documents.
- If a candidate fails to report on the given date along with all the documents then his/her allotment shall be considered cancelled. Also, any candidate who refuses to take admission in the allotted branch will not be eligible for next round of admission.
- Though, admitted candidates can apply for upgradation of branches in the later rounds on the basis of available seats.
- If a candidate fails to submit the requisite caste certificates (SC/ST/OBC) at the time of admission, his/her admission under reserved category shall stand cancelled. However, he/she may apply for consideration of their candidature for seats under general or open category in the next round if they fit the criteria.
