The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 Phase 2, which was scheduled for July 24, 2022 is now expected to be postponed. On May 9, 2022, the Supreme Court of India allowed the examination authority to make relevant changes in the exam dates for conducting NEET 2022 Phase 2 smoothly. The major reason compelling the examination authorities to shift the dates is a need of large-scale logistic arrangements to fit 6-8 lakh candidates who are expected to appear in the exam.
The AIPMT 2022 exam that was held on May 1 is now considered as NEET Phase 1. Any candidate irrespective of them being appeared in the NEET 2022 Phase 1 exam can take the phase 2 exam. However, it is important to note that the candidates who will be taking the phase two exam will have to cancel their candidature for NEET 2022 phase 1.
Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) who conducts NEET will be declaring the results of both Phase 1 and 2 on August 17. Online counselling for allotment of MBBS and BDS seats will be conducted from August 17 to September 30,2022.
