Diploma by IGNOU for Primary Teachers

Come July, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will start a two-year diploma program in elementary education for primary teachers. The purpose of the course is to enhance and understand the competency of elementary level teachers and has been drawn and developed with inputs from highly experienced experts from leading educational institutions including the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE).

According to the varsity, the program covers a wide range of areas as recommended by the National Policy on Education 1986, National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education-2009, National Curriculum Framework-2005 and the Right to Education Act 2009.
