About the University
Panjab University is one of the oldest Universities in India, established in 1882 at Lahore (now in Pakistan). It has 75 teaching and research departments and 15 Centers/Chairs for teaching and research at the main campus located at Chandigarh. It has 188 affiliated colleges spread over Punjab and having one rural Regional Centre at Kauni, and 3 Regional Centres at Muktsar, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur.

University Business School is affiliated to Panjab Universty. The institute provides Master Degree courses. University Business School (formerly, Department of Commerce and Business Management) has been imparting quality management education to develop dedicated, innovative and effective managers, researchers and teachers for four decades.

About the Course

Eligibility
MBA, MBA (IB), MBA (HR)
Applicants need to have a recognized Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate or a pass in the final examination conducted by ICAI/ ICWAI/ ICSI or AMIE with 50% marks. 
MBA (Biotech)
Applicants require to have a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, i.e. Biology, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Veterinary Sciences, B.E. /B.Tech. (Biotechnology), B.Sc (Bioinformatics), MBBS, BDS, or B.E. (Bioinformatics) with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 

Note:
Candidates appearing in the final year examination of bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply and can take the test provisionally. Reservations will be as per norms approved by the Panjab University. There will be a concession of 5% marks in the eligibility requirements of SC/ST/OBC candidates.

How to Apply

Application Form and Handbook of Information-2012 will be available at Post Office, Sector-14, Panjab University, Chandigarh on payment of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST candidates) from October 5, 2011 to October 29, 2011. 

Forms can also be obtained by post up to October 21, 2011 from Manager, Publication Bureau, Panjab University, Chandigarh, by enclosing a Crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 2080/- (Rs.1080/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh, and a self-addressed envelope (30x25 cm).
