The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is an entrance exam administered by the Council of Architecture (CoA) to measure the aptitude of the applicants in the field of architecture. NATA is conducted in two parts i.e. paper based for assessing drawing skills and computer based for examining online aesthetic sensitivity.

NATA 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants who have passed 10th standard can apply for NATA examination. However, only those applicants who have qualified NATA and scored minimum 50% marks in 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the subjects are eligible to apply for B.Arch program.

Lateral entry is not allowed at any year or stage of B.Arch program.

NATA 2026 Application Details

Candidates applying for NATA 2023 are required to visit the official website of NATA i.e. www.nata.in and register themselves as a new user. After getting login credentials, applicants will need to fill up the application form and make payment through credit card / debit card / net banking or by generating challan from any branch of ICICI Bank.

Applicants can get online registration forms by paying Rs. 1250/-.

NATA 2026 Counselling/Interview

CoA will release the counselling schedule of NATA 2023 after it announces the results of all candidates on the official website of NATA. Only candidates who have obtained at least 40% score in NATA can appear for the counselling.

They should carry the following documents at the time of counselling.

  1. NATA 2023 score card
  2. Mark sheet of 10+2 exam
  3. Mark sheet of class 10th exam
  4. Caste certificate for candidates belonging to reserved categories
  5. Residence/ Study certificate

NATA 2026 Exam Syllabus

The Drawing Test will evaluate the candidate’s ability sense of perspective drawing, sketching a given object, understanding of proportion and scaling, etc.

The Aesthetic Sensitivity Test will consist of questions based on Analytical Reasoning, Imaginative Comprehensive, Mental Ability, Imaginative Expression, Architectural Awareness, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

Aspirants will be required to pay “processing charges” while making an online payment.

  • Domestic Credit Card:- 1.25% of the NATA Fee plus service tax as applicable
  • Domestic Debit Card:- 0.75% of the NATA Fees plus service tax as applicable
  • Domestic Multiple Bank Net Banking Payment Gateway:- Rs.15 per transaction
  • Collection through PAN India ICICI Branches in cash (through challan) :- Rs.30 per transaction
  • For International Credit Card / Debit Card, the charges may apply as per the policy of the Bank. 

 

NATA scores are valid for two years from the year candidate appeared for the exam.

Yes, one can appear for NATA exam for a maximum of five times during the period of his/her latest scorecard validity. However, the aspirant will need to reregister every time s/he applies.

NATA 2016 is being scheduled in two sessions i.e. April 1, 2016, to May 28, 2016, and June 6, 2016, to August 20, 2016.
