Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai is an autonomous institute under the University of Mumbai from the academic year 2013-14. The UGC granted permission for Autonomous status for six years starting from May 2013 onwards. The institute offers PGDM program in various specialization. The vision & mission of the institute is to be an excellent Business school by creating and developing capabilities in value- based education, Intellectual capital and Social responsibility.

Good Exposure with an Experienced Faculty

K. J. SIMSR is one of the best institutes offering a retail program. They have a very good and experienced faculty for the Retail Management course and the Infrastructure is really very good. Also, the students get exposure through various industrial experts who give guest lectures which happen on a weekly basis. Also, placement is very good for the retail batch, as the students get an average package of 8 lakhs per annum.
