Department of Management Studies (DMS), Kumaun University Bhimtal was established in 1997 with the mission to provide quality educational facilities for training young men and women for taking up careers in management and create knowledge through research. It was set up under the aegis of the University Grants Commission(U.G.C.) and has acquired concurrence from the State Government. The Department has pioneered management education in the region and has established itself as the foremost and most sought after Department imparting management education in the region.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)	0	Candidate should have passed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum aggregate of 50% marks or 55% marks in aggregate at post-graduate degree examination shall be eligible to apply for admission to the MBA course. The candidates shall be selected on the basis of the written test of AIMA-Management Aptitude Test (MAT) followed by GD/Interview.	-
Master of Business Administration (Integrated)	0	The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 50% marks or equivalent from any recognised board. Selection will be based on the combined merit of Entrance Exam, GD & PI, Performance of qualifiying examination scores following candidates are selected for admission MBA Integrated porgramme.	-

Placement

The Department has an active placement cell that provides guidance and assistance to the students for getting suitable employment in industry and institutions of their choice. The placement cell serves as a channel of communication between the organizations seeking well qualified management graduates and the students who are looking for challenging opportunities and building career in management. The cell provides the best of amenities for conducting the recruitment programs. The Department has an excellent placement track record. Candidates are provided practical inputs and simulations that facilitates an actual understanding about the dynamics of business environment.

Infrastructures

DMS has a sprawling campus in the lake city Bhimtal and is equipped with the audio visual teaching aids. Since its inception in 1997, DMS has priced itself in the quality of its academic work through a combination of excellent learning resources, infrastructure and hardworking dedicated team of teachers.

Classroom

We have well ventilated and properly illuminated lecture halls with an ambiance of teaching and studying. Lecture halls are also well equipped with latest LCD's and OHP's to make learning as well as teaching simple and understandable.

Laboratory

DMS has well equipped computing resources to cater the academic needs of the students.The computer lab has adequate number of computers for the students having multimedia system , laser printers and scanners.

Library

The Department has well stocked library with titles on all functional areas of management, periodicals, national and international journals. Besides this, a number of newspapers and business magazines are available to the students on a regular basis.

Come to DMS, BHIMTAL for a good learning experience

When it comes to Government institutions several perceptions are on pessimistic side but on the other side DMS, Bhimtal is a shear department for getting knowledgeable information. The faculty is also on a higher note, all lectures are being on as per time schedule.
