IBSAT is an aptitude test conducted by the ICFAI University Group, for students seeking admission into its post graduate management programmes. IBSAT scores will be accepted by 9 IBS campuses which are situated in Hyderabad, Mumbai Jaipur, Dehradun, Kolkata, Pune, Gurgaon, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. It is a two-hour Computer-based Test (CBT) conducted across 95 test centres all over India. It tests the applicant's ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, vocabulary, analytical reasoning & reading comprehension
The application process for IBSAT 2023 has already begun from July 1. The candidates who aspire to pursue MBA from IBS business school must apply for the exam before the last date.
The ICFAI University, Dehradun, The ICFAI University, Jaipur and The ICFAI Foundation accept IBSAT 2023 / GAT, NMAT by GMAMC 2023 / CAT 2017 scores for admission to the following programmes:
- MBA programme offered by IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur
- PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management) program offered by IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune.
IBSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of this postgraduate management exam have been prescribed by ICFAI Business School. All the candidates applying for this exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria of IBSAT 2023 otherwise they will be disqualified at the time of admission. The eligibility norms are as follows:
IBSAT Eligibility Norms for 2 years of Management Programme
- Candidate must have completed graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above mark
- The medium of instruction must be English.
- All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of regular education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis.
- Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2023.
- Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations/viva/assignments) before May 31, 2023. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2023.
IBSAT Eligibility Criteria for PhD Programmes
- Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English
And
- Post Graduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from a UGC approved University) with 55% and above marks
Or
- Post graduation (full-time)in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics or in an allied discipline from a recognized University in India or abroad with 55% and above marks
Or
- A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 55% and above marks.
- All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
- Applicants who have completed their graduation/ Post graduation on one-time sitting basis or on part time, distance mode or online mode are not eligible for the PhD program of IBS Hyderabad.
- Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/ or post graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2023.
- Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2023 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

IBSAT 2026 Application Details
Candidates can purchase application voucher (IBSAT 2023 Bulletin) either through Online or Offline mode as follows by paying an amount of 1800 INR.
Online
- Visit the official website for ICFAI admissions i.e. www.ibsindia.org
- After successful transaction, candidates will receive a mail with details of the application number and password
- Candidates will have to log in using those credentials and fill the IBSAT application form.
Offline
- Offline Application Vouchers are available at IBS Marketing Branches available on the website of ICFAI University
- On purchase of Application Voucher, you will receive a scratch card containing application number and password
- All the candidates will have to fill the form using those credentials and they must follow all the instructions while filling up the form.

The application form is common for admission to MBA/PGPM programme at IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune campuses and PhD programme (full-time/part-time) at IBS Hyderabad campus.
The Application Voucher (IBSAT 2023 Bulletin) can be availed on the payment of 1800 INR for both online and offline mode of application.
IBSAT 2026 Counselling/Interview
Candidates who have qualified the IBSAT exam based on IBSAT / NMAT by GMAC/ CAT score are called for the selection process at IBS. Applicants with a minimum score of 60% in CAT/NMAT by GMAC or who will score at least 500 in GMAT will be shortlisted for the selection rounds. The selection process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The final selection is based on past academic record and performance of the candidates in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

IBSAT 2026 Exam Centers
IBSAT 2023 will be conducted in various cities across the country. Candidates will have to select the examination centre during the period of slot-booking. IBSAT exam cities will be distributed in 5 zones. Candidates will be able to choose the test centres as per their convenience.
Applicants can check the list of exam centres here. It must be noted that it is prepared on the basis of last year’s list, so there may be few differences in the exam centres of IBSAT 2023.

Frequently Asked Questions
All the students who wish to pursue MBA/PGPM/Ph.D program have to appear for IBSAT or can apply with a valid GMAT (from 2013 onwards) / CAT / NMAT by GMAC™ score. The students who are shortlisted based on IBSAT/ GMAT (from 2013 onwards) / CAT / NMAT by GMAC™ score will be called for selection process at IBS Hyderabad.

Ph.D applicants: IBS Alumni/M.Phil degree holders/candidates qualified in UGC Net are exempted from IBSAT. These candidates have to submit the relevant certificates for verification.
Yes, you have to apply before December 31, 2015. However, you have provision to update your scores online on or before January 31, 2016. On updation of scores, Selection process call letter will be issued in the month of January 2016.
IBSAT is conducted every year for admission to the following Programs:

- 4-year Ph. D programme (Full Time) at IBS Hyderabad
- 4-year Ph. D programme (Part Time) at IBS Hyderabad

There is no management quota or NRI quota.
Candidates have to download the instructions for filling the online application form.

Candidates have to log in with application number as login id and password using the link http://admissions.ibsindia.org/ibsat2016/registration/ and fill the application form.
For Offline applicants, the application number and the password are available on the scratch card.
For Online applicants, upon successful payment (Rs.1600), candidates will receive a mail giving details of the application number and password.
IBSAT 2015 Bulletin will be dispatched to the candidates within seven days from the date of filling the online application form.
