National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi was set up by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, in technical collaboration with FIT, New York. NIFT Delhi has produced a number of eminent alumni over the years like Rohit Bal, Ritu Beri, Manish Malhotra. It offers a variety of regular as well as CE programs. It has the olders and richest resource centre having a rich collections of print and non-print materials.

| Bachelor of Design (Leather Design) | 0 | 1.The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. OR 2. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. OR 3. Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system. OR 4. A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. OR 5. 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education. 6. Candidates have to prepare for GAT, CAT and Situation Test for entrance test. | - |

NIFT Placement Cell facilitates on campus placements for graduation students of NIFT to enable them to start their careers in challenging positions. Leading national and international apparel companies vie with each other to recruit NIFT professionals. The star employers of NIFT professionals in the past from domestic companies have been Blackberrys, Globus, Pantaloon, Proline, S.Kumar's Titan, Carbon, Mundra Garments and many others. Leading buying offices like Gap, Li & Fung, Tommy Hilfiger, Triburg, Colby, Impulse-Next, etc. have been regularly offering key decision making positions to our graduating students.
Infrastructures
The institute provides comprehensive and state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment to impart both practical and theoretical training. Each resource centre has an integrated collection of print, visual and creative material resources: the only systematically documented source of information available in India for study of international and contemporary Indian fashion.
