Undergraduate
B.Tech. Programme
Admission to B.Tech. Degree Programme is based on marks scored in VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) conducted by the University
Procedure of admission:

Applications can be obtained from selected Post Offices or obtained by post from VIT or obtained through online.

Postgraduate
PG Science
Candidates will be called for a counselling in the order of merit of their aggregate marks secured in their undergraduate degree programmes calculated up to the fourth semester or second year, whichever is applicable (This is inclusive of Languages / EOP and all the subjects they have studied up to pre-final year).

Candidates for admission to Integrated PG programmes will be selected based on the performance in the H.Sc., / Intermediate. For other PG programmes selection is based on the performance in Under Graduate programme..

Eligible candidates shall be called for counselling and the admission is decided based on the marks in the qualifying examination.
MBA
Selection of candidates is based on the Written Assessment Test(WAT), Personal Interview(PI) and on CAT / XAT / MAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/CMAT Score.
M.Tech and MCA
Admissions to MCA and M.Tech Programmes are based on VIT Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) conducted by VIT in major cities across India.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Admission 2017
Vellore Institute of Technology, popularly known as VIT was established in 1984 as a self-financing institution called as Vellore Engineering College. The main campus is located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The University is recognized by UGC. It offers an array of courses under various specializations at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research levels, like Science, Architecture, Engineering, Commerce, Law, etc.
Aspirants can apply for undergraduate courses if they have passed 10+2. Minimum eligibility for pursuing postgraduate courses is to have a Bachelorโs degree. Application form can be filled online and offline. The university also conducts an entrance exam, VITREE for taking admission to various courses.
