TERI University
TERI University was established in 1998 as the TERI School of Advanced Studies. It was renamed as TERI University in 2006. It was granted "Deemed to be University" status by the University Grants Commission and notified vide Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Education, Government of India, Notification no. F 9/19/95-U-3 dated October 5, 1999. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade "A" and is the only University in India dedicated to building capacity in Sustainable Development.
Before moving into the Vasant Kunj campus, the University was located in Darbari Seth Block of India Habitat Centre from 1998 to 2008. In 2008, TERI University started functioning Vasant Kunj. It was awarded the "Greenest University and Research Institution" as part of the RTCC 2013 and also the Climate Change Award for having the "Most Innovative Curriculum" at the India Today Aspire Education Summit Awards, 2012.
The University offers an environment to its students where they are encouraged to come up with out-of-the-box ideas and fresh perspectives about their subjects. Students gain international exposure via tie-ups with leading foreign universities in the USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, and Iceland.
The University also has a number of memorandums of understanding with leading universities which have been initiated to mutually benefit both Universities. Some of these are with:

TERI University Admission Process
Admissions to postgraduate and doctoral programmes offered by the university are done based on marks obtained in the common entrance test conducted by the university. For some programmes admissions are done based on the score obtained in national level entrance exams like GATE, CAT, GMAT, CMAT, XAT, etc
TERI University Application Process
TERI University Application Form can be submitted online as well as offline. The application forms can be submitted online by visiting the official website of the university. The application fee of Rs. 1250 can be paid through credit card/ direct bank debit. The applicants can also pay the application fee by sending a demand draft after the online registration.
Also, the TERI University application forms and the information brochure can be obtained from the main campus of the university in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi or be obtained through post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 1500 drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, TERI University’ payable at New Delhi.
Application forms can be downloaded from the official website of the university and the same can be sent to the Registrar along with a DD of Rs. 1450.
TERI University Ph.D. Admission
TERI University offers admission to Ph.D. programmes with specialization in Bioresources and Biotechnology, Natural Resources Management, Business Sustainability, Energy & Environment, Policy Studies and Water Science and Governance. Admission to Ph.D. programmes offered by TERI University is done based on performance in a personal interview conducted by the university. To be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programmes offered by the university, the applicants must possess M.Sc. or M.Phil in relevant field or equivalent or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10 point scale. The interested and eligible applicants can submit the application forms online or post the same to the Registrar of TERI University.

TERI University PG Admission
The university offers admission to a number of postgraduate programmes like M.Sc., MBA, M.Tech, MA and LLM in the fields of Plant Biotechnology, Climate Science & Policy, Infrastructure, Business Sustainability, Renewable Energy Engineering & Management, Sustainable Development Practice, Urban Development & Management, etc. For admission to the postgraduate programmes offered by the university, the applicants must have scored minimum marks in the qualifying examination. The admission to postgraduate programmes offered by the university are done on the basis of merit in an online entrance test conducted by the university and for some programmes, the admissions are done on the basis of merit in national level entrance tests like CAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT, XAT, GATE, etc. The application forms for admission to TERI University can be submitted online by visiting the official website of the university or the application forms can also be submitted/ posted to the Registrar of TERI University.
