Jodhpur National University
Jodhpur National University was a vision of CA Kamal Mehta, who had recognised the need of providing professional and technical education to the backward areas in the state of Rajasthan. The University started in 2008, now provides courses in almost all regular fields for all levels, including undergraduate, postgraduate, research as well as doctoral levels.
A branch of The Bank of Rajasthan Ltd. is present in the University campus with an ATM facility for the students. The University also has its own fleet of buses, cars, vans for the conveyance of staff and students. Not only this, Jodhpur National University is a Wi-Fi enabled campus which provides high bandwidth speed to all the offices and departments of the University, thus, helping in taking forward research and developmental activities in the University by helping the students, research scholars and faculty to access the web even after regular college hours so that there is no delay when it comes to education and learning. The development of state-of-the-art infrastructure and technical facilities has been a continuous process and the University strives to provide updated facilities to its students where they can get practical exposure to the subjects taught and an opportunity to experiment with and apply what they have learnt in theory. All the Labs & Clinics of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Computer Application are well designed and well equipped with all the required equipments. Language Labs are a new feature and they are being held regularly to help students improve their diction, tone as well as expression.
The University aims to instill a consciousness in its students regarding their contribution to the growth of society, mankind or even themselves, and their education as a stepping stone towards achieving that goal. Therefore, the facilities provided by the University, such as 79 labs, 137 journals as well as 26000 library books. The 132 members of the dynamic faculty also provide the right guidance and direction. The 31-acre campus also provides all modern amenities for the additional comfort of the students.
