Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce is affiliated to the University of Pune and approved by NAAC. The College offers undergraudate and postgraduate courses. Our Mission is to pursue knowledge through academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and to develop the learner’s personality with a strong value base. We are committed to maintaining a balance between theory and practice.

Course Curriculum

Bachelor of Arts (B.A) - A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination shall be eligible for admission to the Degree courses. Selection is based on Entrance exam held by university. -
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) - The applicant must have cleared HSC (10+2/XII Grade) or its equivalent with 50% marks. A relaxation of 5% marks in case of SC/ST students will be taken to consideration. A merit list would be made according to which the admission process will take place. -
Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) - The applicant must have cleared HSC (10+2/XII Grade) or its equivalent with 50% marks. A relaxation of 5% marks in case of SC/ST students will be taken to consideration. A merit list would be made according to which the admission process will take place. -

ONE OF THE BEST COLLEGE

Studying in Symbiosis was real fun. They have a proper balance between theory and practicals. This differentiates the college from other colleges. The college takes a lot of efforts to introduce various new concepts which are essential for one's development. A student can avail all the facilities and enhance his career while also developing his overall personality. I did not take any such exam to enter into Symbiosis as I completed the first year from St. Mira's College. After scoring around 75% in FY, I got admission in Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce in (second year). It was a little sceptical but I was happy to make it finally.

Glamorous but still it glitters more from far end

I have been a part of Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce(SCAC) for the last 4 years as I had completed my junior college here too. Rated as the best commerce college in Pune and probably the whole of Maharashtra, its glamour is short lived once you are a part of the institution. I am studying commerce and everything is theoretical with no industry exposure. It offers a Liberal Arts course which is really good. If someone wants to work after their graduation, they'll have to do everything (getting experience) on their own since SCAC has very limited tie-ups. Securing a job too can be tough as you will need really good grades along with some work experience. The education here, as I mentioned before is all theoretical and offers very little practical knowledge. Activities and fiesta around the college keep happening and it's a joyous atmosphere during those times. SCAC is the perfect college for someone pursuing CA and CS as Symbiosis have their own CA course and offer flexibility to those who are pursuing CA apart from the course that Symbiosis offers. All in all, being a part of this college, I can say that it is average when it comes to career prospects but still, far far better than other commerce colleges in the city and the state

Splendid Expierence and enjoyed thoroughly

So Being an ex-student I think maybe my inputs will be good, yes it is a very good college, here we have a mixed crowd of people who want to actually study and people who just come for the brand name. Teachers are really good if you attend lectures. Its one of the highly ranked colleges for BCOM in India.

Overall it is good

Being in symbiosis will always be a great experience for me. Now that, i'm familiar will this campus because I'm here for almost 4 years (B.Com+M.Com) now, I really had some great experiences n good time with teachers n friends. As Pune is education hub for the country, one can have good learning or to be more precise fun learning here. Overall it's good with some drawbacks, because nothing is prefect.

I definitely enjoyed my education in SCAC

I had a very good experience during my time in this college. It offers a good education at a reasonable rate. The faculty are superb and try to give you every chance to succeed in your field. It is a great college with a great education, amazing co-op program, and perfect location.
