Pune Vidyarthi Gritha College of Engineering & Technology is affiliated to University of Pune. Ranking in Top 5 but poor placements

SAME ACCOUNT Placements: Very bad placement scenario right now. In my batch of 120 students of the mechanical branch, only 11 people are placed, rest are still jobless. The highest package is offered by Atlas Copco which is around 5.5 lakhs and the lowest package is 1.2 lakhs which is a call centre job. You won't get any internship from the college, so you have to find it on your own. Very few core companies visit but the IT companies ae more in number. Infrastructure: Wi-Fi will be available from the upcoming academic year i.e 2017-18. The labs for the mechanical branch is not up to the mark but computer labs are very good, which is a must for comp. and IT branch. Medical facilities are also good. Food is available in the canteen and is worth the money. The hostel rooms are very luxurious. Last year it was renewed. The infrastructure is okay and you have ample space for parking.

Should focus more on Practical knowledge

The overall experience of the college is great. Many senior faculty members are there to guide you throughout the process. Good cultural and technical programs are held throughout the year for the overall development of the students. I got my first job through the college placement. Placement support is also provided after you pass out from the college which is quite rare in most of the engineering colleges. One thing college should improve on is to focus more on practical and industrial knowledge than theory.

Small College, better opportunities!

Well, I guess you haven't heard of the college right? Well, this is one of the few colleges situated in the heart of Pune city. And guess what, this college, be it small, has its place in the top five colleges of Pune. You will find a decent crowd here, all from cultured families. As the college is small, the opportunities are better if you really want to stand out. The college has a big ground and various clubs. You will definitely enjoy your college life here.
