Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Engineering & Technology is affiliated to university of pune. Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering) 2 The Candidate should have cleared 10+2(XII Grade) or equivalent from any State Board with a minimum of 50% marks in the field of Science. The Candidate must also have a valid scorecard of the CET(Maharashtra). -
Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) 2 The Candidate should have cleared 10+2(XII Grade) or equivalent from any State Board with a minimum of 50% marks in the field of Science. The Candidate must also have a valid scorecard of the CET(Maharashtra). -
Bachelor of Engineering (Information Technology) 2 The Candidate should have cleared 10+2(XII Grade) or equivalent from any State Board with a minimum of 50% marks in the field of Science. The Candidate must also have a valid scorecard of the CET(Maharashtra). -
Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics Engineering) 2 The Candidate should have cleared 10+2(XII Grade) or equivalent from any State Board with a minimum of 50% marks in the field of Science. The Candidate must also have a valid scorecard of the CET(Maharashtra). -
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) 2 The Candidate should have cleared 10+2(XII Grade) or equivalent from any State Board with a minimum of 50% marks in the field of Science. The Candidate must also have a valid scorecard of the CET(Maharashtra). -
Bachelor of Engineering (Instrumentation Engineering) 2 The Candidate should have cleared 10+2(XII Grade) or equivalent from any State Board with a minimum of 50% marks in the field of Science. The Candidate must also have a valid scorecard of the CET(Maharashtra). -

Infrastructures

Institute is well equipped with all modern facilities. The campus provides excellent food through its canteen/mess which is also available in reasonable pricing. 24 hours medical facilities are available at D.Y. Patil Medical College in vicinity of the campus.

Laboratory

All labs are equipped with latest equipments. The central computer center has structured networking and server with adequate number of terminals. All the software required for academic purposes and day to day work are available. The peripherals like printer, scanner, speakers, CD-ROM drive, web cam also available.

Library

The college has an excellent library with Reference Section, Journal Section, Reading Hall, & Stack-Room. The library has unique collection of Encyclopedia, Handbooks, Reference books, Textbooks, Journals, E-Journals & CDS etc. The college provides enamors library facility for the students as well as the staff members. Central library gives support to the educational & research programs of the Institute by providing physical & intellectual access to information.

Good infrastructure, good faculty and average placements.

Provision for internet access has been made available and they have Wi-fi enabled labs but usage is restricted. Classrooms are decent and lectures can be spent sitting without hurting your bums. The labs & the library are manageable too. Dr DY Patil Institute of Engineering and Technology (DYPIET) can actually boast of smart distribution in teaching if not the best of the faculty. This is because the difficult subjects are taught by the good and extremely knowledgeable senior professors. The teachers are helpful to students.

Average College

Campus is located in Pimpri city. It is surrounded by locals so accommodation is not an issue. Accommodation is costly though. D. Y. Patil Institute is good. It certainly has one of the best infrastructure. College has good staff and some of them are experts in their domain. College does lack playground but nearby ground is good. Placements are offered from IT companies. Hostel space is limited and first preference is given to OMS students. College events are fun and one can enjoy oneself by participating in them. College has average placement for computer, IT and ENTC, but not good for other branches. Training for the placements should be given. Teaching methods are new and good.

I give this college overall rating of 4 stars out of 5 because I think this is the best college that I can ever pursue with. Talking about the fees, it's decent. College allows us to participate in extra curricular activities so they ensure the overall development of the student.

The Pratishthan is spread over 29 acres of land at Akurdi, which is in the vicinity of Akurdi Railway station & Mumbai - Pune Express highway. The Pratishthan is introducing new engineering college “Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Engineering, Management and research”(DYPIEMR) from the Academic Year 2012-13. DYPIEMR offers Bachelor of Engineering course in Mechanical engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, Civil engineering and Chemical Engineering. To enhance the teaching learning process all class rooms are connected with Over Head Projector facility.
