Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Established in 1991, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS) was conceived as a training institute and a knowledge hub for Kirloskar Group Managers to share their knowledge and learning and catch up with the latest in management.
The Institute initially offered Management Development Programmes and consultancy. Taking a leaf out of the rich experience gained from this, KIAMS moved on to offer AICTE approved PGDM from the year 1998.
The Institute has since been striving to achieve excellence in management through the ruling paradigm of “Education through values” with value being operative in beliefs, processes and results.
KIAMS enjoys the backing of one of the most prominent business houses in the country – the Kirloskar Group. | Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) | - | The candidate should have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, with not less than 50% overall aggregate marks. Students appearing for the final year examination may also apply. Admission Process All eligible candidates based on their profile will be called for Admission process at one of the centers – the KIAMS campuses at Harihar and Pune as well as the number of other cities across India such as New Delhi, Lucknow, Indore, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Cochin etc. Final admission would be made based on entire profile of an applicant i.e. performance in our Interview process, academic excellence, Competitive exam score, work experience, extra-curricular achievements. Placement
Placements for the 2016 class of the flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management at Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS), Harihar & Pune were conducted between September 2015 and May 2016. Over 80 companies participated in the final placement process this year. Participating firms spanned diverse sectors such as E-commerce, Consulting, Analytics, Manufacturing, IT, Telecom, Market Research, Beverages, Banking, Financial Services, Retail, Real Estate, Sports and others.
Current year placements have shown good improvement in percentage of palcements and marginal average salary increase viz-a-viz previous years.
Infrastructures
As KIAMS believes in grooming individuals into well-rounded leaders and successful professionals, the learning experience extends well beyond the classrooms. In fact, the vibrant campus life is a magnet for students who come to KIAMS from all over the country. From state of the art amenities at the hostel to a fully equipped library, sports facilities and platforms for extracurricular activities, KIAMS has it all and more for its students. They are also offered plenty of opportunities in the form of activities and initiatives to showcase their talents that are organized at the Institute, helping them lose their inhibitions and gain confidence.
Kalasanchay, the cultural wing of the institute brings students from diverse backgrounds closer and harnesses their various talents. Ashwamedha – the Sports Committee introduces vigor in its approach and encourages students to put their best step forward in different sporting arenas. Operacy and Pragati – The Rural Marketing Fair are other important initiatives that work towards holistic development of students. With its Brand Club, Finance Club, Marketing Club and Operations Club, KIAMS promotes intellectual development of the students in their chosen fields.
