Good College

Area around the campus is good. Bus stop, stationary shops and cafes are very near to the college. Parking should be spacious. Canteen should serve variety of food. Technical and cultural fest is organised every year. Workshops, seminars and conferences are conducted regularly. Only 20% of the students get placed. Faculties are great, they give attention to each and every student. They are well educated and trained.

This is the review of my college,JSPM hadpsar campus.

PLAGIARISED Location: Jaywantrao Sawant College of Engineering is located in extreme Eastern Pune's Hadapsar area. PMT buses drop you on the main road and one has to walk about 1.5 kms to reach the campus gate. Also, the frequency of the buses is really bad so it's difficult to reach the college using public transport. The college provides its own bus facility but most students prefer their own two wheeler. Infrastructure: The JSPM campus at Hadapsar is gigantic and is home to a Pharmacy College, MBA department, degree college for science, commerce and many more institutes other than Jaywantrao Sawant College of Engineering. There are two buildings in the campus with rent facilities, so that takes care of the hostels. There is a huge common playground for sports enthusiasts. Labs have internet access and working instruments, classrooms are manageable too and they have a good looking library which has few books. Fees: BTech Fee: 105000year MTech Fee: Rs. 80,000/year Placements: Jaywantrao Sawant College of Engineering manages to place only about 30% of the students. However, unsubstantial efforts by the college are not wholly to be blamed for such poor placement records as many students here do not excel academically and are barely able to clear the eligibility criteria of companies. Accenture, Persistent, Zensar, TCS, Infosys and TechMahindra are the major recruiters. Average salary is a petty 2.5 lakh every year Faculty: Okay. The staff is a mix of senior and junior professors which use mostly Marathi and seldom English communication. Attendance: Attendance at Jaywantrao Sawant College of Engineering isn't intolerably strict. It's only as strict as a college should be to maintain some amount of discipline. A 5% relaxation is given below the recommended 75%. Below that, students are asked to buy pen drives, hard disks or reference books for the college library as fine. Those stepping over line and landing up with below 40% attendance, may even be detained if they cannot come up with a very genuine and convincing reason. Crowd: The crowd is from all over India and is into both studies and extracurricular activities, but students often get into brawls here. Hangouts: There is a Dhaba 6-7kms away from the college. Hotel Garva on the Ghat is a speciality for non-vegetarians. More posh hangouts are almost 10-12 kms far. Canteen: Not spacious, quite expensive and less variety of food describes the college canteen. If you forget to get your dabba, then you have to worry a little. Festival: Technovision, the technical festival of Jaywantrao Sawant COE, and ITSA and CESA (IT & Comps department festival) takes place every alternate year in March. The Cultural festival, Antarnaad, is held in February.
