The Indian Law Institute (ILI) was founded primarily with the objective of promoting and conducting legal research.The objectives of the Institute as laid down in its Memorandum of Association are to cultivate the science of law, to promote advanced studies and research in law so as to meet the social, economic and other needs of the Indian people, to promote systematization of law, to encourage and conduct investigations in legal and allied fields, to improve legal education, to impart instructions in law, and to publish studies, books, periodicals, etc. The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies, the Indian Law Institute has the requisite independence and academic freedom to carry out its objectives.

Doctor of Philosophy (Law)	-	The candidate should have passed Post Graduation from recognized University. Admission to Ph.D. programme will be regulated as per the ILI regulations governing programme leading to award of Degree of Ph.D. in Law.	-
Post-Graduate Diploma in Taxation Laws & Practice	1	Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G.Diploma Course is a graduate degree from a recognised University. 5% weightage will be given to the law graduates for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Courses.	-
Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law	-	Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G.Diploma Course is a graduate degree from a recognised University. 5% weightage will be given to the law graduates for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Courses.	-
Post Graduate Diploma In Human Rights Law	-	Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G.Diploma Course is a graduate degree from a recognised University. 5% weightage will be given to the law graduates for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Courses.	-
Post Graduate Diploma in Securities Law	-	Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G.Diploma Course is a graduate degree from a recognised University. 5% weightage will be given to the law graduates for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Courses.	-
Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights (PGDIPR)	1	Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G.Diploma Course is a graduate degree from a recognised University. 5% weightage will be given to the law graduates for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Courses.	-

Post Graduate Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms	1	Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G.Diploma Course is a graduate degree from a recognised University. 5% weightage will be given to the law graduates for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Courses.	-
Post Graduate Diploma in Drafting of Legislation Treaties and Agreement	1	Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G.Diploma Course is a graduate degree from a recognised University. 5% weightage will be given to the law graduates for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Courses.	-
Master of Law	1	The candidate should have LL.B. Degree (with not less than 50% marks) recognized by Bar Council of India as eligible for enrolment as an advocate in India or A Law Degree from a foreign country with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade. Selection is on the basis of merit.	-
Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law	-	The minimum requirement for admission to the PG Diploma Course in Labour Law is a law degree or M.A. in Social Sciences (IInd Division). The Defence Service Officers holding graduate degree of an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University are considered for admission to the P.G. Diploma in Labour Law provided they are sponsored by the Directorate of Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Candidates who have passed or appeared in the 4th year examination of LL.B. (five year course) from a recognised institute/university are also eligible for admission to Post Graduate Diploma Courses (except for Labour Law). Five seats each are reserved for these students. The admission will be made based on the marks obtained in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of the University examinations.	-
Master of Law (Evening)	-	LL.B. Degree (with not less than 50% marks) recognized by Bar Council of India as eligible for enrolment as an advocate in India. or A Law Degree from a foreign country with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.	-

Placement

The Indian Law Institute has placement portal automates the placement process at the college. Employers can use this portal to communicate with the College Placement Office and through necessary permissions manage campus recruitment and hire students and alumni online.

The Institute's Library is one of the best libraries in the country. It has more than 75000 titles. It subscribes to 270 current legal periodicals. JILI is one of the leading law journal. ASIL contains surveys written by academicians and practitioners.
