Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Dev Samaj College of Education the college has a record of educational success that dates backs to 1981, completed 28 years of meritorious service to the country and to the union territory of Chandigarh in particular, in the field of teacher education for women. It is a matter of great pride that Dev Samaj College of Education is the first college in the northern region to be recognised by NCTE in the year 1997 and it is also the first teacher education college in the northern region to have been accredited with four stars by NAAC. The college offers three programmes B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education), M.Ed. (Masters of Education) and Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling.

Placement
The college has a separate Career Development and Placement Cell which is an integral part of the institute. DSCE Career Workshop It ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements for placing its students in premier institutions. It also conducts training programs for the students to enable them to face interviews. These programmes include workshops on self esteem, presentation skills, communication skills and mock personal interviews etc. Many reputed schools and institutes send their requisition to the college for qualified and competent teachers namely Carmel Convent School, Sector 9/B, Chandigarh, NIIT Chandigarh Centre, Sector 32/D, Chandigarh, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula, D.A.V. Infrastructures
Collage is well equipped with all modern facilities. Music facilities are used for teaching music and preparing musical items for various competitions.
Classroom
A well furnished class room's available.
Laboratory
The college has a Psychology Laboratory equipped with various psychological tests and equipment. The M.Ed. students and members of the faculty make use of these tests for conducting research. The Training, Placement and Counselling Cell (TPCC) of the college also utilizes these tests for diagnostic and prognostic purposes. There is a workshop for fabricating teaching aids and art exhibits. This laboratory is used for many purposes e.g. conducting lectures for Art & Craft and preparation of pain
Library

Question Papers pertaining to previous years' examinations are also stocked in the reference collection of the Library. The Library provides its readers the in-house Xerox facility.
