Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering is the department under SRM University. The ECE department at SRM University prepares students for careers in this constantly evolving discipline. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed with the Centre for Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Taramani to work together in industrial projects as well as for academic interactions. SRM University is also planning to launch a nano/mini satellite The ECE department is actively involved in the mission and works closely with Indian Space Research Organisation officials.

The Department's infrastructure is modern with all well equipped facilities.

Classroom

The Department has Modern Lecture Halls & "Smart Classrooms".

Laboratory

The ECE Department has 14 laboratories. These include DSP, microprocessor, communication, optical, VLSI and embedded systems. The labs offer opportunities for students to work on a wide range of advanced software packages

Library

Department has an excellent library for the benefit of students, faculties and researchers. As one of the best established libraries according to International Standards, the University Library has a large collection of books covering various branches of Engineering and Technology, Medical and Health Sciences and Science and Humanities and its related fields.

Enjoying studies at SRM

Earlier I thought that the SRM NCR campus is not good. But after taking admission here I started enjoying the college atmosphere. The faculty members are friendly, their quality of teaching is good and the placement record is good for almost every branch here.

Keep SRM Ramapuram as a last option

Don't even consider this as a part of SRM. SRM KTR is way ahead of Ramapuram campus. Most disgraceful college with no exposure at all. I'd rather suggest you to pursue arts or commerce rather than pursuing engineering in SRM Ramapuram for name sake. This is my advice.

SRM, Ramapuram campus

This college has an average infrastructure. And the staff are kind of okay here too. The college provides not many opportunities but you can try to create one here. The silly rules and restrictions and the travel to this college are the worst problems that we face. The main campus is way better than the one in Ramapuram. Overall, an average campus with average facilities.
