Department of Applied Geology, Indian School of Mines University (ISMU) was commenced in the year 1926 for imparting education in the field of mining. The school got university status in the year 1996-97. School has a separate Geology Department where studentβs gets knowledge about minerals, composition of earth & rock and some other relevant topics related to environment. The fundamental objective of this department is to educate young men and women for professional careers in the fields of Applied Geology, Petroleum, Mining and Mineral Sciences. Department of Applied Geology trained their students with innovative technique and develops their scientific acumen ability and makes them nimble for their domain.
