Dakshin Kamrup Girls College is recognized by National Assessment and accreditation council and affiliated to Gauhati University. The college nor any other institution for higher studies till the establishment of Dakshin Kamrup college in 1961. It was felt that nothing substantial had been done for the progress and development of the women communities in this area so far. The college offers Bachelor of Arts degree course and Certificate Course in Food preservation and computer application.
