Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024MKSSS, renowned education institutions for more than 100 years, started Engineering College exclusively for Women. Cummins India Foundation gave donation to start the college, hence name of the college is ‘Cummins College of Engineering for Women’. The college has been established by Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha (MKSSS). Affiliated to the University of Pune, MKSSS Cummins College of Engineering for Women offers technical courses that have been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The mission is to develop women professionals who are academically and technically sound with strong Ethics and above all, Good Human Beings. The college offers all the facilities that are prerequisite for the smooth conduct of the courses.

Hence the college is named as Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha's Cummis College of Engineering for Women.
Laboratory
There are 350 computer systems in the department. Majority of these computer systems used by students and faculty to avail internet facility. The college has Laboratories for all the departments of Engineering.

The library of college was established in 1991. It serves to the college staff as well as students. It supports the academic activities of the college.
