Private University Estd. 1952 NIRF #1 (Medical) 2024Cordia College is to provide to the rural youth educational opportunities that emphasize skills & knowledge that will allow the student to adjust through a lifetime of social and technological change. Smt.Jawala Devi Memorial Trust first started Cordia College for girls at Sanghol for the benefit of girl students who did not have opportunites for hiegher education in the absence of a college. The college in now a multi faculty co-educational institution.Beside arts course, the college is putting lots of emphasis on computer education and management courses. It has started BCA, BBA, PGDCA and M.Sc(IT) courses for helping students in getting suitable employment opportunities.

Placement
Institute has a robust and proactive Placement Cell to impart field training to the students and establish interface with industry for the placement of final year students. The Cell works in co-ordination with the students giving them requisite direction, resources and grooms them to secure their industrial training and dream jobs. To address the demands of modern education, prominent academicians and industrialists constantly enlighten the students through guest lectures. In the light of the changing economic scenario and the burgeoning demand for professionals, the college is constantly striving to assimilate the needs of the industry and the urge of professionalism in the youth.
Infrastructures
The institutes campus which extends over an area of 25 acres of land is divided into various functional zones like Main Institution Building, Administration Block, Residential Complex for staff and separate Hostels for boys and girls. In addition to Lecture halls and tutorial rooms, the college has an Auditorium, Library, Computer Centre, Reading Rooms, Workshops and well equipped Laboratories, spacious Playgrounds, Gymnasium and Students Centre.

The College have a Fully Air – Conditioned Computer Centers which are equipped with latest Pentium IV or equivalent Computers, High speed networking equipment and all requisite Hardware/Software so as to impart knowledge in the most hi-tech environment.

The institutions have hi tech digital libraries which are more like integrated Knowledge Resource Centers that are stocked with ample number of books, periodicals, references, national and international journals, CD-ROMs covering all aspects of academic studies and research material & is equipped with multi-media sections with latest software.
